In Love or In Lust?

I loved reading articles about developing love for a special someone and I love learning from what others think about it. I am talking about romantic love.

Joseph B. Whirtlin said that "the greatest manifestations of love are the simple acts of kindness and caring we extend," so this makes me think about how important is to do little things for this special someone like writing a little note, a letter expressing some feelings or serving this person with sincere intention. I have noticed that love grows so much in a very special way by doing these things. I have felt it even with members of my family.

True love is a process, it requires personal action and it takes time. I think that when someone is truly loving or being loved, can feel that love cares, protects and enriches, which takes to sacrificing for each other.

"Love is far more than physical attraction," said Spencer W. Kimball. I wonder if most couples are really in love or if they understand the kind of love they have for each other.

Many people are in lust, but not in love. Although, they think they are in love.

And If I Say I Really Knew You Well, What Would Your Asnwer Be?

And if I say I really knew you well, what would your answer be? Well, knowing you, you'd probably laugh and say, that we were worlds apart. But as for me, I still remember how it was before and I am holding back the tears no more. What about the time we met? Well, I suppose that you could say that we were playing hard to get. What about the night we cried? Because there wasn't any reason left to keep it all inside. Never understood a word, but you were always there with a smile.

My Best Words For You

I have seen so many beautiful things throughout my life that help me create the best words for you.

I have read so many beautiful things that make me think about you and in the things I want to say to you.

I have heard so many beautiful songs that remind me of you and I only want to tell you those same things.

If I ever tell you how I feel about you, I want you to hear my best words for you.

I Want To Be In Love Again

"My Dearest Claudia. I couldn't sleep last night because I know that it's over between us. I'm not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real. And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I'll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent the summer beneath the trees, learning from each other and growing in love. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, and that's what you've given me. That's what I hope to give to you forever. I love you. I'll be seeing you. Noah"

Broken like this was my heart once...
I love this movie (the notebook)!

Love might not happen the same way again. I have changed and life has changed...

Learning to Let Go "I Remember The Day I Met You"

I feel like I have finally accepted the fact of letting go each and everyone who once was part of my life but did not come to stay in it. I always have had the hope that maybe, eventually or later down the road a miracle to have you back in my life could be possible and that we could enjoy the moment just like the old days. Yes, I'm talking about that impulse of holding on to how I wanted things to be or how I want them now.

Assuredly, now I have come to understand and overall accept that I have to let go whatever is not serving me, whatever I no longer need (or maybe I do but it cannot be), whatever keeps me from accepting new realities and do not dwell in possibilities of having what once were my dreams of the future.
And this is why is hard to let go: Letting go is about being okay with the fact of what once was important, now it's all gone... I do feel okay with it but not consciously. I miss the commodity of the things I experienced, which now are in the past and it's hard to imagine something or someone better than that and because the future is uncertain, it's really hard to tell how things are going to be, specially who or what I will probably need. The way I see it: I am not used to let go because I feel like holding on to someone or something can eventually benefit me in the future.

Definitely, I should never give up, and that's one of the things that keeps me being persistent with my hopes but now with these kind of things I should remove all hope and possibility because that is what "letting go" means, "things will not change."

I'll look at it as if the people and things that were in my life once, have fulfilled their purpose and will never get back together with me.

And that's it. I no longer want to remember the day I met you, I don't want to remember how I felt, what I did, what you told me, what I should've done nor "what could happen if..."

I'm even willing to not recall or go back to those chapters of my life. I miss them but there's a lot more coming soon!

Think positively and cheerfully!

If I Fell

This is how I’ve always felt...

If I fell in love with you would you promise to be true and help me understand cuz I’ve been in love before and I’ve found that love was more than just holding hands…

I must be sure from the very start that you would love me more than [him]… If I love you too don’t hurt my heart like [him] cuz I couldn’t stand the pain and I would be sad if our new love was in vain… So I hope you see that I would love to love you.

Never Mind, I'll Find Someone Like You

Never mind I'll find someone like you, I wish nothing but the best for you... Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead...

What Happened There in Your Heart?

TO: YOUR HEART

Dearest Heart:

Heart, be careful when falling in love. You have lost many lovers before and now you just lost one more.
You give everything from you and you feel that you don't get the same in return. You thought you had been healed by this lover but this lover left you broken again. Learn from the experience, you know what to do. If you fall in love again, this better be your last time because we don't want to see you crying again. Ask this lover to not come back again because this lover still hurts inside...

Inspired by Natural Emotions

I cannot even describe how powerful was that phrase for me. It said something like "a heart never suffered when it went after its dreams." Sounds easy but we are always afraid of losing something we have for getting something better perhaps. That's the meaning of sacrifice and opportunity cost that economics classes talk about. Forgone something in order to get something else (better). I want to take the risk and adventure myself in the world... If my dreams don't come true, that's okay... I will only make the necessary adjustments and keep living my life and creating other dreams. There are so many things to do.

I feel like I'm understanding this world and this life a little bit more. I just need to fall in love to give all the love I have for that special someone... That's the law "fall in love" and "love much."

I just want this to happen again and I just wish you could tell me you want this to happen again again and again too... I wouldn't mind. I can forget everything and start over again pretending nothing happened in the past. That easy! Whenever you feel ready!

The time left an unforgettable memory, I can stop the world right now and hear you say you want this to happen one more time... Our lives are so different now but the memories in our hearts are the same.

Love for me is...

I have learned that love is not a possession and that love can wait. Love is something special and it doesn't happen only once.
Love is when you only think about where he might be right now, love is when you want to protect him from storms and winds... Love is when you give him a hug and forget about the time... Love is when you realize about your feelings and get nervous :O

Have I told you that I would sail the world only to give you a hug?

Love is when you write his name everywhere you can, love is when you dream about him, love is when you see him and his face stays in your mind... Love is when you realize he is everything.

Like Shakira

TV channels might disappear, the sun might never give me its light again, poets might stop writing, the last song in the world might be written today, nobody might smile again, action movies might end today but you will stay with me still. Your hugs will stay with me.

How?

How a song can get so stuck in my head?
It’s because I can identify myself in some verses or because I wish things in the adventures of my life were like the ones described in a song.

Maná: It’s a Pop/Rock Mexican band. It’s the best band in the whole Latin America, they appeared a long time ago and their 90’s old songs keep blasting all over the world. Their newest songs keep getting better and better! Everyone loves them! I have known people that love this band not even knowing Spanish. They are so legit! I can say that they are and will be like The Beatles, which means that all their songs are liked by everyone. My favorite songs in Spanish come from this band. I love the things they talk about and the way they think about romantic love.

Lately I’ve been wanting to sing out loud the following verses.

They talk about how lonely you feel after not having with you someone you were very used to have by your side very often and that you still cannot get this someone out of your heart/head. This is natural; everyone has to experience things like this over and over again. They go completely away sooner or later. You just keep a sweet memory after all.

I love the intro with the drums  ♥!

A Story Between My Fingers

Inspired by Gianluca Grignani

I think that our moments together have not been for nothing
You go away from me and what? I won’t fight because of this, you already know it
But at least stay with me more time
I don’t think we could find something better than our romance.
What are you going to do? Just find an excuse and go away
Don’t worry about me, I will write you a couple of songs just to try to hide my emotions
I will think a little bit about the words… I will talk about your smile that opened the doors to my paradise

Without a Doubt

If I only could choose again… I would choose you without even thinking about it because there’s anything to think about, you have been the best for my heart.
The past is past. LOVE smiling at it!

Dating versus Hanging Out by Dallin H. Oaks

Knowledgeable observers report that dating has nearly disappeared from college campuses and among young adults generally. It has been replaced by something called “hanging out.” You young people apparently know what this is, but I will describe it for the benefit of those of us who are middle-aged or older and otherwise uninformed. Hanging out consists of numbers of young men and young women joining together in some group activity. It is very different from dating.

Unlike hanging out, dating is not a team sport. Dating is pairing off to experience the kind of one-on-one association and temporary commitment that can lead to marriage in some rare and treasured cases.

Simple and more frequent dates allow both men and women to “shop around” in a way that allows extensive evaluation of the prospects. The old-fashioned date was a wonderful way to get acquainted with a member of the opposite sex. It encouraged conversation. It allowed you to see how you treat others and how you are treated in a one-on-one situation. It gave opportunities to learn how to initiate and sustain a mature relationship. None of that happens in hanging out.

Men, if you have returned from your mission and you are still following the boy-girl patterns you were counseled to follow when you were 15, it is time for you to grow up. Gather your courage and look for someone to pair off with. Start with a variety of dates with a variety of young women, and when that phase yields a good prospect, proceed to courtship. It’s marriage time. That is what the Lord intends for His young adult sons and daughters. Men have the initiative, and you men should get on with it. If you don’t know what a date is, perhaps this definition will help. I heard it from my 18-year-old granddaughter. A “date” must pass the test of three p’s: (1) planned ahead, (2) paid for, and (3) paired off.
Young women, resist too much hanging out, and encourage dates that are simple, inexpensive, and frequent. Don’t make it easy for young men to hang out in a setting where you women provide the food. Don’t subsidize freeloaders. An occasional group activity is OK, but when you see men who make hanging out their primary interaction with the opposite sex, I think you should lock the pantry and bolt the front door.

If you are just marking time waiting for a marriage prospect, stop waiting. You may never have the opportunity for a suitable marriage in this life, so stop waiting and start moving. Prepare yourself for life—even a single life—by education, experience, and planning. Don’t wait for happiness to be thrust upon you. Seek it out in service and learning. Make a life for yourself. And trust in the Lord. Follow King Benjamin’s advice to call “on the name of the Lord daily, and [stand] steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come” (Mosiah 4:11).

Secrets to the Female Psychology

  • Women thrive when they feel safe and secure.
  • Women love through sacrifice. However, women often love and sacrifice in ways that are not good for the male psychology.
  • A woman needs a man to communicate about his needs. Not only will a woman love him for communicating respectfully with her, but the more she sacrifices to meet his needs, the more deeply her love will grow.
  • Women are attracted to strength and confidence.
  • WOMEN LIKE TO BE PURSUED AND TO FEEL WANTED.
  • Women long to feel adored.
  • Women like gifts, surprises, reasonable spontaneity, and excitement. The extra effort makes them feel special.

Temple Marriage

"The subject of marriage is debated across the world, where various arrangements exist for conjugal living. My purpose in speaking out on this topic is to declare, as an Apostle of the Lord, that marriage between a man and a woman is sacred—it is ordained of God. I also assert the virtue of a temple marriage. It is the highest and most enduring type of marriage that our Creator can offer to His children." Russell M. Nelson

Seeking Knowledge

Knowledge is power. Who knows more?
The passion for something hooks the attention. The power to succeed is the knowledge.
"The good life is inspired by love and guided by knowledge." - Bertrand Russell
The word philosophy is literally translated from the Greek to "Love of Wisdom".
